Parts Specialist
Seeking a career-oriented Parts Specialist to join the maintenance department.
Summary of Position
A successful Parts Specialist will order and record parts accurately, monitor record keeping for our Shop Technicians, work closely with Fleet Management and vendors, and provide first line of support to our drivers during roadside calls. Managing inventory and controlling costs are also an integral part of this position.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintains a complete and accurate inventory of frequently used parts and supplies.
- Working knowledge of diesel tractor/trailer mechanical components is required.
- Demonstrate accurate data entry and record keeping of various database and software systems along with multi-line phone systems.
- Answers telephone calls and provides high level efficient service to internal and external customers including drivers, vendors, etc.
- Builds and maintains relationships with peers, drivers, and vendors.
- Conducts periodic parts audits.
- Possess or obtain certification to operate a forklift.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and well-organized parts department.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- The work location is housed within our maintenance shop which may involve exposure to variable temperatures, loud noise (air tools, etc.) dust/fumes and traffic. You may occasionally be required to wear personal protective equipment such as eye and ear protection.
- Flexible weekday schedule (M-F) and occasional Saturday hours/40-hour work week/OT is paid
- Physical requirements may include lifting/moving items weighing up to 75lbs., pushing/pulling up to 50lbs, sustained period of sitting/standing/walking and occasional bending, stooping, crouching. The ability to reach is also required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
