Job Summary
Veterans Alliance is hiring Line Service Professionals for a direct-hire opportunity in Jacksonville, Florida, supporting fixed-base operations (FBO) services in a fast-paced aviation environment. This is an excellent entry-level role for candidates—especially veterans—who are interested in building a long-term career in aviation ground operations.
No prior aviation experience is required, though fueling and aircraft towing experience is preferred.
Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply — all MOS backgrounds welcome.
Key Responsibilities
- Fuel aircraft safely and efficiently in accordance with company and FAA standards
- Tow and park aircraft using approved ground handling procedures
- Marshal aircraft and assist pilots during arrivals and departures
- Perform general ground handling and ramp duties
- Conduct basic inspections of equipment and report discrepancies
- Maintain clean, organized ramp and work areas
- Follow all safety, security, and operational procedures
- Provide professional customer service to flight crews and passengers
Schedule
This is a 24/7 operation with rotating shifts.
5/8 Schedule (Five 8-hour shifts):
- 1st Shift: 06:00 – 14:00
- 2nd Shift: 14:00 – 22:00
- 3rd Shift: 22:00 – 06:00
Candidates must be flexible and available for any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and desire to grow with the company
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Preferred:
- Aircraft fueling experience
- Aircraft towing or ramp experience
- Military service (any MOS)
Additional Requirement:
- Candidates must not have visible tattoos that cannot be covered while on duty
