Trip Operations Specialist
Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Trip Operations Specialist to join our growing travel agency. In this role, you will be responsible for handling all customer communication post sale and managing all the details through the end of the trip. Our ideal candidate is someone who is very organized, detail oriented, and has experience working and managing a client’s schedule. You will report to the Director of Sales & Operations and will play a critical role in fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner
- Document all inquiries, requests, resolutions and follow-up tasks
- Escalate inquiries and requests as necessary to the appropriate department
- Ensure that clients meet their deadlines with things such as deposits, due dates, names, etc.
- Being able to work on quotes for insurance, flight deviations and hotels with our Vendor Procurement department
- Ability to upsell on services such as travel insurance, transportation and hotels
- Encourage repeat business by displaying excellent customer service
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues that may arise post sale
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 2-4 years of customer service experience preferred
- Travel Industry experience preferred
- Excellent administrative & customer service skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to learn tasks and skills quickly and effectively
- Strong follow through skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Solid problem-solving & time management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Being a well-traveled individual is a plus
