Job Title: Stations Coordinator – Aviation
Department: Operations / Ground Operations
Reports To: Stations Manager / Manager of Stations
Location: Airport-based (multi-station oversight as applicable)
Job Summary
The Stations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing day-to-day operational activities at assigned airport stations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant ground operations. The role acts as a key liaison between airport stations, headquarters, service providers, and regulatory authorities, ensuring consistent service delivery, operational reliability, and adherence to aviation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Coordination
- Coordinate daily station operations including flight handling, passenger services, ramp, baggage, and cargo activities.
- Monitor on-time performance (OTP) and proactively resolve operational disruptions or irregular operations (IROPs).
- Ensure proper staffing levels and resource availability at stations.
- Support station start-ups, seasonal operations, and schedule changes.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure stations comply with company policies, airport regulations, and aviation authority requirements (e.g., ICAO, IATA, local CAA).
- Monitor safety procedures and report incidents, delays, or irregularities.
- Assist in audits, inspections, and corrective action implementation.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with ground handling agents, fuel suppliers, catering, security, and airport authorities.
- Monitor third-party service provider performance against SLAs.
- Escalate service issues and follow up on corrective actions.
Communication & Reporting
- Act as the primary communication link between stations and headquarters.
- Prepare operational reports including delays, incidents, KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and station performance metrics.
- Participate in operational briefings and coordination calls.
Customer Experience
- Support consistent passenger service standards across all stations.
- Assist with resolution of customer service issues and complaints related to station operations.
- Ensure adherence to brand and service quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience
· Must have a strong working knowledge of the CFR’s pertaining to Airport Operations, [14 CFR Rule 382], AOSSP, SOM contents, Emergency Procedures, and HAZMAT restrictions.
- 2–5 years of experience in airline operations, airport operations, customer service or ground handling.
- Strong knowledge of airport ground operations and aviation regulations.
- Experience coordinating multiple stations or vendors is an advantage.
