Bevan Aviation Inc. is located at Wichita’s Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (KICT) in Wichita KS. Bevan Aviation has been in the aviation industry since 1954. Bevan Aviation is more than just a small general aviation avionics retrofit shop. Our technicians allow us to excel in avionics installation, troubleshooting and repair of complex avionics systems. The team at Bevan Aviation has over 100 years of combined experience and as a result, we are a repeat Garmin Platinum dealer.
We are looking for an experienced Avionics Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of aircraft avionics systems. A successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot and diagnose avionics systems, perform routine maintenance/repairs, ensures that all safety protocols are followed, as well as they possess integrity with the ability to take on action items as they arise, strong problem solving skills to assist our clients and the team they would be a part of in order to deliver excellence in customer service. Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot avionics systems.
- Install, inspect, and maintain aircraft avionics systems.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionics systems.
- Test and inspect aircraft avionics systems for proper operation.
- Perform maintenance on aircraft electrical systems.
- Repair and replace defective components in aircraft avionics systems.
- Perform system integration tests of aircraft avionics systems.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent required.
- Must meet the requirements of Airport Authority to be receive a badge and have no ramp restrictions.
- Current Valid Driver’s License
Communication Skills:
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language and communicate with all levels of the organization.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Occasional periods of walking, sitting, rotation, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching. Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequently lifting up to 10 lbs.
Work Environment:
- Frequent exposure to general shop conditions, engine noise.
- Frequent exposure to aircraft exhaust, moving mechanical parts, lubricants, metals, and solvents.
- Frequent exposure to seasonal weather
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
