Summary:
- Structural Mechanic
- Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations. Disassembles existing aircraft structure for modification install, which could involve modifying removed parts or installing new parts from a kit per engineering drawings. Interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings for the proper tools, fasteners, location and methods of installation to meet required specification.
- Lays out, locates, fits, trims, assembles, and installs parts assemblies and skins where dimensions are critical, and fitting is to exacting tolerance.
- Drill, countersink and rivet exterior skin panels where skin quality is critical. Works from all types of complex blueprints, E.O.s, and production illustrations.
- Completes any or all structural rework/repair, squawks, and E.O.
- Must be able to utilize computer-based systems to perform duties.
- May be required to work in confined space.
- Fabricate detail parts from blueprint or engineering instructions.
- Perform aircraft inventory, acceptance, and inspections.
Job Duties & Requirements:
- Document detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft technical orders, drawings, and blueprints.
- Always maintain training currency.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability to schedule job tasks to meet completion timeline.
- Five (5) years of documented experience in aircraft structural installation, modification, troubleshooting and repair.
- Heavy C-130 structural modification experience preferred.
- Some travel possible, up to 25%
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of aircraft mechanical experience.
- Ability to utilize computer based systems to perform duties.
- Must be willing/able to work any shift or schedule.
Electrician/Avionics Technician
Summary:
- Modification Electrician/Avionics KC-130J
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, and technical manuals to fabricate and install electrical wiring/harnesses or coaxial cables on aircraft. Installs, tests, and troubleshoots aircraft electrical systems for conformance to specifications.
- Performs repair, removal, reinstallation, of existing electrical systems or installs and integrates a completely new system for modifications.
- Cuts wiring/harnesses to length once properly installed, strips wire ends and installs the correct pins or terminal lugs to meet specifications.
- Proficient in termination of various connectors, continuity checks, voltage checks, and operational check-out of aircraft electrical systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs the rewiring, modification, and troubleshooting of complex avionics/electronic systems.
- Performs aircraft inventory, acceptance, and inspections.
- Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
- Provides technical assistance and guidance as required by the position.
- Performs on and off aircraft electrical modification to electrical wiring and system components which includes but is not limited to wire / harness / connector / component removal, installation, & repairs, routing,
- terminations, continuity checks, troubleshooting, and AC/DC & disturbed systems operational checks / verifications.
- Maintain assigned aircraft in accordance with Military Technical Orders, Manufacturer and Company Instructions.
- Use provided test equipment and Ground Support Equipment to perform assigned tasks.
- Read, interpret, and apply instructions from Blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and other approved data.
- Assist with ordering parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of your assigned work area.
- Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.
- Responsible for adhering to Company Tool Control Program.
- Must comply with established General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.
- Ensure proper operation and use of special test equipment and Ground Support Equipment.
- Maintain appropriate records of all work accomplished.
- May be required to perform simple computer input functions.
- Must be able to perform other duties as assigned.
Job Duties & Requirements:
