Island Helicopters Kauai, Inc. is seeking a full-time, Ground Personnel/Line Person who is friendly, a dependable team player and responsible. Applicants should be able to follow directions, speak concisely and clearly, and have a good command of the English language, as you will be required to give a safety briefing before each flight and communicate with guests and coworkers. Job Summary
The Ground Personnel role is for the right person who is responsible for providing excellent customer service, briefing, loading and unloading helicopter passengers, tracking aircraft schedules, communicating with fellow employees, wash and wax company vehicles, landscaping work, cleaning/sanitizing and other duties as necessary. Ground Personnel may be required to take on additional tasks to support the Guest Service Agents. Must have a current driver's license and be able to provide a clean driver's abstract. Must be able to obtain all State and Federal Security badges. Ideal candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule and 10-hour days, including some weekends and holidays.
The Ground Personnel / Line Person role also includes:
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Loading passengers in/out of helicopters and vehicles
- Providing safety briefings to customers prior to flights
- Providing courtesy shuttle service as needed
- Washing, waxing, detailing of company vehicles
- Tracking and maintaining aircraft schedules
- Landscaping including weeding, mowing, picking up rubbish
- Cleaning and maintaining company property including the public/guest areas
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects without assistance (some heavy-lifting is required)
- Assist Guest Service Agents with customer check-in and other customer service duties
- Anticipate and address customers’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation
- Speak with others using clear and professional language
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Drug test and background check may be required
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
