About us
VIP Completions handles some of the biggest and most complex aircraft interior refurbishment projects in the industry. We work on everything from full cabin rebuilds to custom modifications, and we're known for getting the work done right and on time.
We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Aircraft Interior Removal & Reinstallation Specialist who can handle full cabin R&I work. If you're the person other techs trust to strip an interior down and put it back together without issues, we want to talk to you.
Responsibilities
- Remove, disassemble, and reinstall complete aircraft interiors, including seats, divans, sidewalls, headliners, monuments, galleys, lavatories, carpets, and panels according to work orders and maintenance manuals.
- Work safely around aircraft systems including water, waste, electrical, heating, and pneumatic lines; understand how interior components interface with these systems.
- Tag, organize, and protect all removed components so nothing gets lost or damaged and reinstallation goes smoothly.
- Read and follow blueprints, interior layout drawings, engineering orders, and technical documents to plan the removal and reinstallation process.
- Work closely with cabinet makers, finishers, foam, and upholstery technicians to coordinate timing and make sure everyone's work flows smoothly without rework or damage.
- Make basic adjustments, alignments, and install hardware like latches, hinges, trim, and fasteners to ensure everything fits and functions properly.
- Check reinstalled interiors for fit, function, and finish; flag any issues and correct them.
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe; follow all company, OSHA, and airport safety rules.
Qualifications and skills
- Solid hands‑on experience (typically 5+ years) removing and installing aircraft interiors on business jets; VIP completions or MRO work is a big plus.
- Working knowledge of aircraft systems including water, waste, electrical, heating, and pneumatic systems; understand how interior components connect to and interact with these systems.
- Strong mechanical skills and the ability to work from manuals, drawings, and work orders with minimal supervision.
- Understand how cabinetry, finishing, seating, and upholstery work (you're not doing the finishing, but you know how your work affects theirs).
- Able to keep track of lots of components, hardware, and fasteners throughout a project without losing anything.
- Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and proud of your work.
- Good communication and teamwork; comfortable coordinating with managers and shop leads to keep things on schedule.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift moderate weights throughout your shift.
