Position Summary
This position could be a direct hire or contact position depending on the candidate.
The Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of aviation personnel and activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role provides hands-on leadership, coordinates work assignments, monitors performance and safety, and serves as the primary point of contact between frontline staff and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise daily activities of assigned team.
- Assign tasks and manage staffing levels to meet operational needs.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and support to team members.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees to the Aeroteams standards.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies, FAA regulations, and industry standards.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and adherence to SMS procedures.
- Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and spot checks for PPE and safe work practices.
- Document and report incidents, hazards, and non-conformances; support corrective actions.
Operational Oversight
- Coordinate daily schedules, work orders, and priorities to minimize delays and maximize efficiency.
- Monitor aircraft status, turnaround times, and service quality.
- Liaise with internal departments, customers, and vendors to resolve operational issues.
- Support on-call / after-hours operations as needed.
Quality & Documentation
- Verify that required records, logs, and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Support audits and inspections; ensure findings are addressed promptly.
- Assist in implementing process improvements for safety, quality, and efficiency.
People & Performance Management
- Conduct performance check-ins and contribute input for formal reviews.
- Address performance and conduct issues in a timely, professional manner.
- Recognize and reinforce positive performance and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of aviation experience in a commercial or regional environment or have recently separated from the military with a leadership role.
- Prior lead or supervisory experience required.
- Hold an active A&P license.
- Knowledge of applicable FAA regulations and aviation best practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holiday, as required.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and relevant aviation/maintenance software.
