Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Interior Design Firm (U.S. Based)
Location: New York or Miami (preferred)
Compensation: $250,000–$350,000 + potential performance incentives

Our commercial portfolio spans hospitality, retail, and healthcare, while our residential work reflects a long-standing commitment to high-quality, client‑centric design. With a team of approximately 50 professionals—including designers, interior architects, project managers, and drafters—spread across three U.S. offices, we are poised for our next phase of growth.
As our current Owner/CEO transitions into semi‑retirement, we are seeking an experienced, visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead the company into its next chapter.
The Opportunity
The incoming CEO will oversee all aspects of strategy, operations, and organizational leadership. While maintaining the standards of excellence that define our reputation, this leader will also drive expansion into new markets and client segments. There is high potential to broaden our offering beyond project‑based design services—potential avenues include direct‑to‑consumer retail and other scalable business lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to continue and strengthen company operations across residential and commercial design sectors.
- Drive sustainable growth by expanding the firm’s visibility and client base across the U.S.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of 50+ employees across three offices.
- Oversee financial performance, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Identify and pursue new revenue streams, including potential consumer-facing retail opportunities.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence aligned with the company’s core values.
- Represent the company externally with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Ensure smooth transition and continuity as leadership responsibilities shift from the semi-retiring owner.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven executive experience in design, architecture, creative services, or related professional industries.
- Strong background in scaling organizations, leading multi-office teams, and driving business development.
- Ability to blend operational discipline with creative-industry understanding.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of identifying growth opportunities and successfully executing them.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational leadership skills.
- Preferably based in New York or Miami, with willingness to travel between office locations.
