Summary of Position Description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Systems Engineer - Level II to join our team to support C-130/L-100 Avionics Upgrade program. iAccess' headquarters is in Costa Mesa, CA and branch office is in Warner Robins, GA. This position is expected to be 100% onsite, at one of our facilities in California or Georgia.
- Review and decompose requirements to various teams including hardware and software.
- Develops engineering plans, packages, performs trade studies and assessments of different configurations, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept/requirements and to user standards, and for progress in accordance with schedules.
- Coordinates with the Project and/or Program Manager to ensure problem solutions and user satisfaction. Make recommendations, if needed, for approval of major systems installations.
- Prepare milestone status reports and deliveries/presentations on the system concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the engineering team to perform the following:
- Coordinate requirements with program management, decompose and flow down requirements to the team,
- Schedule and track system development and test activities,
- Responsible for the coordination, management and integration of all systems engineering activities. Interfaces with all program functions and teams,
- Must be able to access program data, attend reviews and assess progress,
- Responsible for definition, development, and management of the overall AMP architecture including that required for hardware and software development. This includes the architecture associated with the Crew Station and Cockpit definition, Top level Avionics hardware/software architecture, Environmental, Lighting, Electrical, aero/propulsion analysis, RF interoperability, Electrical load, Mass properties, system latency, Digital bus loading, throughput, power margins, Navigation accuracy, algorithm development and Aircraft Systems Safety, Airworthiness, Human Engineering, Survivability, System Security and Accreditation, Reliability and Maintainability, Mass Properties and EMI/EMC Lightning. Coordinates and integrates with all program teams and functions to ensure successful program execution relative to these areas,
- Responsible for identification, derivation, allocation and management of all program requirements. Responsible for the development and generation of verification and integration test plans to include System Integration and System Level Test,
- Responsible for the development and management of the Cross Reference Verification Matrix (CRVM) and Interface Control Document (ICD),
- Responsible for the design, development, build, integration, test and delivery of the System Integration Lab (SIL) and the Simulation Nodes used for OFP software development, CSCI qualification and systems integration,
- Responsible for supporting all other program teams by providing all necessary requirements and verification documentation (i.e., source system documentation will be provided to support Production Operations, Training and Logistics, and Flight Test),
- Design, develop, test, and field new/modified training course-ware,
- Plan, develop training material and conduct aircrew and maintenance training,
- Responsible for activities associated with Configuration and Change Management.
- Extended hours and weekend work may be required to support critical project and mission milestones
- Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
Basic Qualifications
To be effective, you must possess these basic qualifications.
- B.S. degree in Engineering or related course of study
- Five (5) years of direct experience in avionics modification or similar activity
Must be able to:
- Develop and integrate concepts that involve requirements, design, prototyping, production, testing, training and logistics support in all phases of the weapon system life cycle. Includes all aspects of technical program that involve trade-off of performance, life-cycle cost, risk, productivity, supportability, testability and other engineering requirements.
- Perform reviews of requirements and translates them into technical specifications of equipment, software, facilities, data and personnel.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to lower-level technical personnel as necessary.
Experience includes technical involvement as applicable in one or more of the following:
- Research; design; development; production; testing; and performance of theoretical studies, analysis of system design, recommendations to expand performance and enhance design of applicable system.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of supervising system design, integration, and/or analytical projects.
Must have experience and skills necessary to perform the following tasks:
- Provide highly technical expertise and guidance in solving complex engineering problems;
- Perform in all phases of hardware/software analysis, evaluations, development, and integration/implementation and test;
- Develop standards and guidelines for tasks being performed;
- Develop system specifications and system interface specifications; and
- Interface with Government personnel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ten (10) years of direct experience in a relevant engineering activity is required.
- M.S./Ph.D. degree in engineering, mathematics or physical science degree with EIT certificate preferred.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
