The Parts Manager supports the Director of Maintenance in overseeing the company’s maintenance operations. This role is responsible for managing the procurement of both inventory and non-inventory parts, ensuring timely availability of materials to support maintenance activities, and assisting the maintenance team in meeting project timelines. The Parts Manager also collaborates with customers and internal departments on a daily basis to ensure clear communication and efficient workflow. This position reports directly to the Director of Maintenance. Currently this is a newer position that was created last year and is continuing to evolve into a full time position.

Responsibilities of the Parts Manager include, but are not limited to:

Assisting the Director of Maintenance in overseeing the day to day administrative maintenance operations of the company.
Coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Promptly answering phone calls and communicating with aircraft owners on a daily basis.
Identify new opportunities for work flow improvement to maximize efficiency.
Manage inventory levels of parts and equipment, ensuring immediate availability for maintenance events and repairs.
Receive, unpack, and distribute incoming parts. Ship outgoing materials/parts.
Use a purchase order system with all vendors & parts.
Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to flight school operations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for maintenance staff.
Manage maintenance accounts payable and receivables. Collect payments from customers.
Keep a safe, clean and orderly work space.
