Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to support manufacturing operations within a precision aerospace environment. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed manufacturing documentation, ensuring processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with stringent aerospace quality standards. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement, resolve technical issues, and support the successful production of complex aerospace components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop clear, step-by-step manufacturing work instructions for aerospace parts and assemblies
- Develop detailed mechanical designs for aerospace airframes, systems, and components using CAD software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD.
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate mechanical integrity and performance under operational conditions.
- Support manufacturing processes by developing technical specifications, overseeing assembly procedures, and ensuring compliance with ASME codes & standards and aerospace quality standards such as AS9100.
- Create and maintain process control documents to ensure consistency and compliance
- Collaborate with Quality Control and production teams to ensure processes meet cost, efficiency, and quality objectives
- Support non-conformance resolution by participating in NCR disposition and developing rework/repair instructions
- Ensure manufacturing processes align with applicable aerospace specifications and customer requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, quality, and throughput
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace
- Strong knowledge of materials, thermal processing, surface finishes, and NDT methods
- Experience developing work instructions, process control documentation, and manufacturing procedures
- Working knowledge of CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication processes
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and specifications (e.g., AS9100, customer-specific requirements)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Experience in CAD software, preferably good working level in SolidWorks.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
