Full Job Description
RFS Aviation is looking for a lead A&P Mechanic to expand its operation. Primary aircraft work would be on Cessna products, specifically the Cessna 441 Conquest II, the Cessna Citation Series. All aircraft would be maintained to a part 135 standard.
You would be performing scheduled and unscheduled (AOG) maintenance, which will include: phase inspections and line maintenance (if needed). You would help with towing aircraft to and from the hangars as needed. You would become qualified to run the aircraft when needed. If components can be repaired on-site, you would be expected to perform those repairs in accordance with the proper manuals and guidance.
Items you will work on would include: controls, engines, avionics/electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, wheels and tires. You would maintain the status lists for all aircraft and make sure the aircraft follow and do not overfly those schedules. Tooling would require calibrations schedules and any special tooling will be provided or rented as needed. You will be expected to, “ be your own boss” and manage the aircraft with guidance from the Chief pilot and Director of operations.
You will need to be able to speak with parts suppliers and technical assistance providers to diagnose and/or solve any maintenance issues. You will need to create a clean work environment where all aircraft parts are labeled and categorized for proper identification. You will be responsible for MEL deferral procedures and return to service of work performed. Proper logbook entry creation and logbook organization.
- Minimum of 1 years maintenance experience with Cessna and/or Beechcraft turboprops
- Knowledge on the TPE-331 Honeywell engine series, PW535A, Pratt Engines.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with jet aircraft (preferred)
- Possess a valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license with Inspection Authorization
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- Comply with written company maintenance and logistics procedures
- Comply with FAA regulations, as applicable
- Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded and corrected in accordance with approved maintenance procedures outlined in operators GMM.
- Maintain a clean and organized work place
- Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000-$90,000 Per year
