Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aviation Parts Clerk. Operate parts department and all aspects of purchasing and receiving. Parts Clerk needed for busy General Aviation operation supporting two company locations and 25 out base locations and vendors. Prior experience with aviation inventory is required. A general knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting is also helpful. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aviation parts , sourcing, and equipment repair, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance. This role requires exceptional leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and a passion for the aviation industry.
Duties
- Customer satisfaction focus is priority at all times both internally and externally.
- Sources parts and maintains inventory for 50+ aircraft nationwide.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendor/ suppliers to optimize supplier management and negotiate favorable terms.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure efficient movement of goods within the organization.
- Verifies incoming inventory for accuracy against purchase orders, stocking shelves and pulling orders.
- Implement best practices in inventory management to minimize waste and enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and safety standards.
- forecast possible inventory needs with the aid of management while communicating concerns and information as requested by management.
- Works under guidance of the Director of Maintenance and Senior management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in aviation management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Experience with sourcing, warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and supplier management.
- Related inventory management skills are desired, including skill to use and interact with inventory management systems and research variances.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and safety.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners both written and verbally.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement.
