SUMMARY
The Driver/ Detailer position performs a variety of routine and complex transportation support work in driving and coordinating transportation plans. The Driver/ Detailer responsibilities include logistical support of the Aero-Flite mission to ensure aircraft flight and maintenance operations are supported and the company is able to meets the needs of our customer. At the conclusion of the season, the Driver/ Detailer supports the Aircraft Maintenance team with aircraft detailing at the Spokane hangar.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

- Valid DOT Medical Certificate
- Class A CDL preferred but not required
- Perform a variety of duties in the support of aircraft fleet, ensuring truck and trailer arrive at the specified destination within the required time.
- Maintain trucks and trailers by coordinating and/or performing routine inspections, scheduled preventative maintenance and refer complex defects or repairs to Fleet Manager or his delegate; ensure truck and trailer are clean and presentable.
- Follow elog book requirements for logging hours worked and hours driven per day.
- Follow all FMCSA, DOT, applicable state and Aero-Flite regulations and safety rules.
- Ensure company property, trucks and trailers are properly secured to prevent theft or damage.
- Remain available until aircraft and maintenance support duties are completed for the day.
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education and Experience
- High school or equivalent graduate.
- Minimum of six years’ related experience.
- Acceptable MVR to insurance carrier.
- Some maintenance experience background
- Must be mechanically inclined
Preferred Training and Experience:
- Prior aviation experience (military, MRO shop, some AMT trade school coursework)

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually at a typical warehouse noise while in the hangar with frequent periods of moderately loud periods, or moderately loud when in the field.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Regular exposure to a hangar environment with walking/traversing hazards, uneven surfaces and stairs.
JOB ABILITIES

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work will vary by business need and customer requirements. Schedule will consist of extensive travel in the field and time spent at GEG hangar supporting the Maintenance team to ensure aircraft are ready to report to the field.
TRAVEL
- This position is comprised of significant travel within the continental US.
- May be gone for up to two weeks at a time.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
The base pay range for this position in Washington state is $23.00- $24.00 per hour; the hourly rate is influenced by a variety of factors including, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, and geographical locations. Employees will be eligible to enroll in the company's retirement plan with match contributions and financial wellness programs. Hired applicants will receive paid leave.
