About the Role
Dexa is looking for a hands-on UAS Technician to help maintain and support our growing fleet of unmanned aircraft systems.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping aircraft flight-ready—performing maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring every system meets strict airworthiness and safety standards in a Part 135 operation.

What You’ll Do
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on UAS platforms
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues
- Document all maintenance actions and discrepancies in Drone Logbook
- Ensure aircraft meet airworthiness requirements and regulatory standards
- Identify and escalate safety or reliability concerns in real time
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and proper tool control
- Work closely with maintenance leadership to keep aircraft mission-ready
✅ What You Bring
- FAA A&P Mechanic Certificate or Repairman Certificate (or ability to obtain)
- Hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Team-first mindset with a strong safety focus
Nice to Have
- UAS, robotics, or avionics experience
- Familiarity with Drone Logbook or similar systems
- Experience working in a regulated aviation environment (Part 135 preferred)
- Inspection authority (RII) or airworthiness sign-off experience
