AOG Maintenance Supervisor (Part 145 Repair) – Las Vegas, NV (KLAS)

Summary:
The AOG Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) response activities throughout Las Vegas and the surrounding region. This position serves as the operational leader for Empire Aviation USA's KLAS location, providing technical leadership to maintenance personnel while ensuring exceptional customer service, rapid response, regulatory compliance, and efficient execution of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events.
The successful candidate will coordinate technicians, customers, vendors, tooling, and parts resources to minimize aircraft downtime and ensure aircraft are returned to service safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Personnel Management:
* Provide daily leadership, supervision, and direction to assigned maintenance technicians.
* Assign work priorities based on customer requirements, aircraft schedules, and operational needs.
* Monitor technician productivity, work quality, and adherence to company procedures.
* Mentor, coach, and develop maintenance personnel through technical guidance and leadership.
* Promote a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, and customer service.
* Support employee training, onboarding, and performance development initiatives.
AOG Operations & Customer Support:
* Coordinate and oversee AOG maintenance events from initial customer contact through aircraft return-to-service.
* Assist with dispatching technicians, tooling, equipment, and parts to customer aircraft as required.
* Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting support to minimize aircraft downtime.
* Maintain regular communication with customers regarding aircraft status, maintenance findings, and estimated return-to-service timelines.
* Coordinate with Parts, Program Managers, vendors, and maintenance personnel to expedite aircraft recovery.
* Prioritize maintenance activities based on operational urgency and customer requirements.
Maintenance Operations:
* Coordinate and oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
* Ensure all maintenance is performed in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer instructions, and Empire Aviation USA procedures.
* Support troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, modifications, and component replacements.
* Escalate manpower, tooling, parts, or technical issues that may impact aircraft schedules or customer commitments.
* Participate in maintenance activities when operationally necessary.
Compliance & Quality Oversight:
* Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and RSQCM requirements.
* Work closely with Quality Control personnel to ensure inspections, Required Inspection Items (RII), and Return-to-Service requirements are completed properly.
* Verify maintenance documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
* Monitor maintenance activities to ensure work is performed to established quality standards.
* Support FAA audits, customer audits, and internal compliance reviews.
Site Operations & Facility Management:
* Assist in the day-to-day management of Empire Aviation USA's KLAS maintenance operation.
* Support staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet customer demand.
* Maintain strong relationships with local operators, FBO personnel, airport stakeholders, and vendors.
* Ensure the facility, tooling, and equipment are maintained to company standards.
* Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
* Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, FOD prevention practices, and housekeeping standards.
* Monitor tool accountability and ensure proper handling of company equipment.
Business Development Support:
* Support local business development efforts by maintaining strong relationships with aircraft operators and aviation service providers.
* Identify opportunities to expand maintenance support within the Las Vegas market.
* Represent Empire Aviation USA professionally within the local business aviation community.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of business aviation maintenance experience.
* Previous experience as a Lead Technician, Crew Chief, Maintenance Supervisor, or equivalent leadership role preferred.
* Strong working knowledge of FAA Part 145 and Part 135 maintenance requirements.
* Previous AOG maintenance experience required.
* Experience coordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events.
* Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
* Ability to interpret and apply aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, engineering orders, and technical data.
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Corridor maintenance (a plus).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting Gulfstream, Bombardier, Citation, Falcon, Embraer, Hawker, or Learjet aircraft.
* Previous supervisory experience within a Part 145 Repair Station.
* RII Authorization experience.
* Experience managing multiple aircraft events simultaneously.
* Familiarity with mobile maintenance operations.
* Existing relationships within the Las Vegas business aviation community.
Schedule & Travel Requirements:
* Must be willing to support rotating schedules, after-hours calls, weekends, and occasional emergency maintenance events as operational requirements dictate.
* Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Licenses & Certifications Required:
* FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate (A&P)
* Minimum 5 years holding A&P Certificate preferred
* Valid Driver's License
* Valid U.S. Passport
