Astronics-PECO, located in picturesque Clackamas, Oregon near the foothills of Mt. Hood, designs, certifies, manufactures, and sells a wide range of products to commercial, government, and military markets throughout the world. Our highly engineered interior and structural aerospace products are supplied to the largest aircraft manufacturers and are installed in aircraft around the globe, and our military products are used in critical national defense applications. The Max-Viz enhanced visions systems (EVS) are designed and certified for use as an improvement to safety by a vast array of airplanes, helicopters, and unmanned-aerial-vehicles in the commercial, government, and military marketplace. PECO-Controls are well established temperature control devices designed for applications where high quality is a must, such as the hospitality industry, commercial cooking, and other critical applications.
We are looking for Machine Operators to join our production team. We currently have an entry level position available Swing shift (3pm-11:30pm Mon-Fri.) This role will operate plastic injections molding equipment to create integral parts for our production. This position will require that you stand, move, and occasionally sit to operate and unload the machines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following duties and others as assigned.
- Reads and interprets daily production reports to determine requirements.
- Assists in the set-ups on all of the molding equipment and machinery.
- Brings all quality and process control issues to lead.
- Operates measuring tools such as micrometers, dial and digital calipers, and etc.
- Visually inspects surfaces for flaws and makes adjustments accordingly.
- Accurately completes paperwork and documents accurate counts of all parts.
- Operates secondary equipment such as ultrasonic welder, drill press, trim press and gate cutters.
- Operate a variety of forklifts and other material moving equipment and tools.
- Sweeps area, cleans and washes equipment.
- Attends Quality Manual Standards Training and applies Quality Standards accordingly.
- Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
- Reports consistently to work and is on time. Able to work an eight hour shift.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous plastic injection molding experience and or training preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience working with machines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
