Position Summary
GraceAero Aviation, a flight training organization affiliated with Wings of Grace Ministries, is seeking a licensed Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic who is passionate about aviation, mentorship, and mission-driven work.
This role blends hands-on aircraft maintenance, student training and mentorship, and operational support for both general aviation aircraft and on-call CRJ airline support. The technician will play a critical role in maintaining a fleet that supports flight training operations and ministry outreach.

Key ResponsibilitiesAircraft Maintenance & Inspections
- Perform and supervise 100-hour and annual inspections
- Conduct preventive maintenance and general repairs on GA aircraft (Cessna, Piper, and similar)
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations (Part 43 & 91) and manufacturer guidance
- Maintain accurate and compliant logbook entries and maintenance documentation
- Assist in determining airworthiness
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
- Diagnose aircraft mechanical and system discrepancies
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Develop efficient repair plans to minimize downtime
- Support unscheduled maintenance and AOG situations
CRJ On-Call Support (Delta Operations)
- Provide on-call maintenance support for Delta CRJ aircraft
- Respond to AOG (Aircraft on Ground) situations as needed
- Coordinate with airline maintenance control and operations teams
- Operate within a professional Part 121 environment
Teaching, Training & Mentorship
- Train and mentor students and apprentices within the Wings of Grace ecosystem
- Provide instruction in:
- Aircraft maintenance fundamentals
- Inspection procedures
- Tool control and safety practices
- Lead hands-on shop training sessions
- Support development of training curriculum and structured learning experiences
- Model leadership, professionalism, and a mission-driven mindset
Operational & Fleet Support
- Support maintenance of approximately 8 aircraft across:
- Flight training operations (GraceAero Aviation)
- Ministry aircraft
- Assist with shop organization, tooling, and workflow efficiency
- Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes
- Participate in occasional travel for operational or ministry needs
QualificationsRequired
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- Strong experience with general aviation aircraft maintenance
- Knowledge of FAA regulations (Part 43 and 91)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and mentor others
Preferred
- Experience with turbine aircraft or CRJ platforms
- Inspection Authorization (IA) or willingness to obtain
- Experience in teaching, mentoring, or training environments
- Familiarity with flight school operations
- Interest in mission-driven or faith-based work
