We currently have an opportunity in the Northeast region for an experienced Transportation Operations Manager. Responsibilities include:
- Screen, interview, and hire CDL Class A driver applicants
- Manage client relationships
- Maintain and manage driver fleet
- Plan and conduct driver safety meetings
- Perform accident investigations
- Administer workers comp return to work program
- Submit reports on MS Word/Excel/Outlook as required
- Administer DOT drug/alcohol compliance program
- Administer awards and discipline programs
- Work any hours as Operational issues dictate
- Educate and promote safety to drivers in the field
Qualifications:
- Experience in transportation management
- Experienced in Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain/Human Resources
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Willing and able to travel in an assigned geographical area
- Ability to prioritize based on customer or company needs
- Basic knowledge of computer
- Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations
- CDL preferred but not required
- Bilingual a plus but not required
