Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Manufacturing Safety Manager to oversee and enhance safety protocols within our manufacturing facilities reporting to the VP of Operations. This critical role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of occupational health standards, environmental regulations, and safety management practices. By fostering a culture of safety, the Manufacturing Safety Manager will protect our workforce, minimize risks, and promote continuous improvement in safety performance across all manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
- Lead incident investigations utilizing root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate and deliver training programs on topics such as first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), OSHA compliance, and occupational health.
- Manage workers' compensation claims in accordance with workers' compensation law, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
- Prepare detailed safety reports, incident documentation, and compliance records for internal review and regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a proactive safety culture through training & development initiatives.
- Stay current on evolving EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) regulations and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Facilitate emergency response planning including first aid procedures and crisis management protocols.
- Support management in implementing continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing workplace incidents.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing safety management or related roles within industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, workers’ compensation law, and occupational health principles.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, or related emergency response training is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and report writing effectively.
- Familiarity with EHS management systems and safety training & development methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to analyze complex safety data and develop actionable recommendations.

Pay: $99,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
