Our onsite Program Management team in Chicago, IL is looking to add an experienced and collaborative Utilities Coordinator in support of an airport capital Redevelopment Program at Midway Airport. The redevelopment will occur in the middle of an active airport and the existing terminal and concourses will remain operational while the new facility is built in place in a phased approach. This position allows for the opportunity to be a major contributor to the growth of Miday as part of the program management team.

Reporting to the Utility Coordination Manager, you will be responsible for leading utility activities with a team of utility project managers, engineers, and CAD technicians while managing subconsultants who provide aviation, IT, utilities, and telecommunications support. You will oversee master planning, design coordination, base mapping, construction sequencing, and commissioning of utilities, verifying alignment with airport operations. The role includes coordinating with FAA, ComEd, Peoples Gas, Telecom, and other third-party utilities to address scoping, scheduling, budgeting, and compliance matters. This position will be responsible for maintaining a utility tracker to document meeting minutes, invoices, exhibits, utility records, utility design documents etc. You will work closely with the project managers, designers, construction managers, to support utility related design/specification and construction efforts, while also assessing site utilities across all Midway projects. You will also be required to conduct monthly utility workshops for all CDA owned and third-party utilities, assist the CDA Utility Group/CDA Facilities in identifying ageing infrastructures, gaps in infrastructure reliability, and create a wish list of future capital projects. In this role, you will provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on utility policies and major decisions.
Here's what you will need,
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years in utility planning, design, coordination, or construction management on large-scale infrastructure projects
- Experience leading teams of engineers, project managers, and technical staff
- Strong background in coordinating with public and private utility providers, government agencies, and regulatory bodies
- Ability to work onsite full-time at Midway International Airport with the program management team
Ideally, you will also have,
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and utility agreements for airports
- Experience negotiating agreements with major utility providers
- Knowledge of IT and telecommunications infrastructure for large-scale facilities
- Professional registration and/or certifications with a preference for at least one of the following: PE, PLS, CCM or PMP.

The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
