What You Will Be Doing:
The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) – Alaska International Airports System (AIAS) is actively seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Accountant 3. We are looking for an individual with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in financial software and Microsoft programs. As an integral part of our financial management team, the Accountant 3 at AIAS will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing insightful reports, and ensuring strict adherence to international accounting standards. Who We Are Looking For:
To be successful in this position, the selected applicant will possess the following core competencies:
- Financial Analysis: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to interpret quantitative and qualitative data; includes data modeling, earned value management, and evaluating key financial indicators, trends, and historical data.
- Auditing: Knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards and procedures for conducting financial and compliance, economy and efficiency, and program audits.
- Computer Skills: Uses computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.
