About the Role
IDM is looking to hire an experienced Project Manager to support a complex aviation technology modernization project involving access control, video management/storage, and computer-aided dispatch/public safety systems. The Project Manager will oversee planning, coordination, execution, testing, deployment, stakeholder communication, and closeout across multiple mission-critical workstreams.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Manage delivery across access control, video management/storage, and computer-aided dispatch/public safety system workstreams.
- Own scope, schedule, budget coordination, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, and status reporting.
- Develop integrated schedules, milestone plans, action trackers, dashboards, and executive-level updates.
- Coordinate with technical teams, vendors, infrastructure groups, leadership, and operational users.
- Support architecture, design, infrastructure refresh, application upgrade, and deployment planning activities.
- Track hardware, software, configuration, testing, implementation readiness, and operational handoff items.
- Coordinate system integration activities across security, video, dispatch, reporting, credentialing, and related platforms.
- Lead meetings, document decisions, manage action items, and escalate risks, blockers, and dependencies.
- Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing, commissioning, defect resolution, and go-live readiness.
- Manage change control, approvals, documentation, runbooks, cutover planning, rollback planning, stabilization, and closeout.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management.
- Experience managing security systems, public safety systems, or mission-critical technology projects.
- Experience with access control, video management, dispatch, records, infrastructure, or related platforms.
- Strong understanding of application upgrades, integrations, testing, deployment, and operational transition.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management tools, status dashboards, and reporting templates.
- Excellent planning, documentation, communication, stakeholder management, and vendor coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a security-sensitive aviation environment. PMP certification preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Aviation technology modernization experience.
- Experience with phased deployments, production cutovers, go-live readiness, and post-go-live stabilization.
Pay: From $70.00 per hour
