Seeking an engineer with flight test instrumentation experience to support PCM, 1553 and ethernet data analysis for AMRAAM, F-15, and F-16. Position will include developing instrumentation requirements for future F-15 and F-16 modifications. Position will also include test planning, test conducting, and test reporting.
Job Description:
- Conduct and support analysis of collected data from AMRAAM and other F-15 or F-16 tests to determine test sufficiency and system performance relative to test objectives and system requirements.
- Coordinate with military, government-civilian, and contractor personnel in the 96th Test Wing, 53rd Wing, F-15 System Program Office, AFMC and ACC staff agencies, and other organizations involved in OFP CTF test projects.
- Provide technical instrumentation proficiency during test execution.
- Participate in, or when required lead meetings to assist with identification and development of instrumentation systems to acquire data required to satisfy mission objectives.
- Provide engineering and test expertise during the requirements phase of test planning.
- Support and conduct the planning, execution, and reporting phases of test projects as part of the Operational Flight Program Combined Test Force (OFP CTF) at Eglin AFB, FL.
- Provide technical inputs into test documents, instrumentation requirements, and data formats.
- Plan and identify data collection requirements for developmental and operational testing.
- Create, review, and gain approval for OFP CTF test documents, including formal test plans, safety and technical review briefings, formal test reports, test result outbriefs, system academics, and additional documents needed to complete fielding processes and deliver capability to US operational units.
- Analyze processes and propose methods to improve efficiency and quality of technical products.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science. Similar scientific degrees or equivalent experience may be considered.
- Have, or be able to gain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance. Top Secret/SCI desired.
- Computer programming and data analysis experience desired.
- Experience with military aircraft operations and instrumentation activities.
- Excellent English writing skills, strong verbal communication skills, and proven ability to work well as part of a large team of diverse personnel.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products and able to quickly learn custom software applications.
- Desire a working knowledge of test organizations at Eglin including 96th Test Wing, 53rd Wing, and their associated test facilities.
Primary Location: United States, Florida, Eglin AFB
Work Hours: Full-time
Remote Work: Occasional (mission permitting), not more than 10% of the time.
Travel: Occasional, less than 5% of the time.
Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
