Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Avionics Technician to join our dynamic aerospace maintenance team. The Avionics Technician is responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing an aircrafts electronic system for small airplanes. This role involves working from engineering drawings, wiring, installing and updating systems, performing mechanical and structural assembly, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
Duties
- Assemble aircraft electronical and avionics system
- Troubleshoot aircraft avionic or electrical issues
- Perform avionic tests and inspections
- Test and troubleshoot instruments, components and assemblies using circuit testers, oscilloscopes, and voltmeters to determine performance and airworthiness
- Read, interpret, and design technical drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and SOPs
- Audit, inspects, and organizes customer avionic orders
- Perform drilling, riveting, bonding, and fastening of components
- Run and install wiring
- Fit and align parts to required specifications
- Conduct functional checks and basic system testing
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
- Troubleshoot and correct assembly issues as they arise
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and meet deadlines
- Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Experience working with avionics systems – minimum 1 year
- Experience with mechanical assembly, preferably in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Basic understanding of aircraft systems and structures (training may be provided)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in light aircraft or kit plane assembly
- Knowledge of sheet metal work, composites, or electrical systems
- FAA Airframe certification (or working toward it)
- Experience with small-team or startup manufacturing environments

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
