Under general supervision, the Line Service Technician performs aviation ramp service duties, to include fueling aircraft, transferring fuel between source and locations and delivery vehicles, conducting ramp operations, including repositioning and towing aircraft, operating tugs and towing carts and vehicles. A line technician is also responsible for guiding, parking, greeting and marshalling arriving or departing aircraft from an airport ramp using appropriate aviation hand signals. The position monitors fuel levels and maintains fuel inventories to make sure aircraft have the right amount of fuel for each flight. The job description includes detail oriented responsibilities, such as ensuring fuel trucks are stocked and prepared to distribute fuel, checking aircraft oil levels, performing quality control checks to make sure fueling is handled safely and efficiently and reporting any visible damage to aircraft. Line technicians also perform light facilities maintenance duties and ensure aircraft are tied down or placed in a secure hangar. Perform business opening and closing checks. Additional duties as assigned.

Line Technicians help with the upkeep and general maintenance of hangars, facilities and airport grounds. The position ensures that training facilities and maintenance areas are litter-free, clean, safe and organized. Technicians also maintain aircraft hangars so planes can be parked or stored safely. During inclement weather, line technicians help maintain ramp area and ensure that all aircraft are securely tied down. The position also assists with various customer service duties as assigned.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
