Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aviation FBO Line Service Supervisor to oversee and coordinate ground support operations at our aviation facility. This leadership role is essential in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely servicing of aircraft, including fueling, towing, cleaning, and maintenance support. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, extensive supervising experience, and a comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance and aviation regulations. Duties
- Supervise daily ground operations to ensure adherence to safety standards and federal aviation regulations.
- Manage a team of service technicians and ground crew members, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate aircraft servicing activities including fueling, towing, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks.
- Oversee logistics related to aircraft movement and ensure timely completion of all ground support services.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols while managing heavy lifting operations and manual transmission equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, equipment maintenance, and operational logs.
- Communicate effectively with pilots, flight crews, and internal departments to facilitate smooth operations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Support maintenance management by collaborating with mechanical teams on aircraft servicing needs.
- Uphold organizational standards for customer service excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2-4 years in Fixed Base Operations (FBO), line service, or ground handling.
Common Responsibilities:
- Operational Safety: Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance for fueling and ramp services.
- Shift Supervision: Coordinating staff tasks, schedules, and training for FBO, hangar, and line service operations.
- Customer Service: Providing high-quality service to pilots and passengers.
- Equipment Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance of fuel trucks and ground support equipment.
- Leadership: At least 1-2 years of experience leading teams, training, or supervising, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of aircraft fueling (including JET A and Avgas), towing, marshalling, and ramp operations.
- Certifications & Education: High school diploma/GED required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/move up to 50–75 lbs, and work outside in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to train/motivate staff.
- Compliance: Valid driver's license (clean driving record), capability to pass background checks, and ability to obtain a SIDA airport security badge.
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
