Human Resources Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced, confident, and hands-on Human Resources Manager to serve as the primary HR leader for our organization of approximately 100 employees. This role requires a professional who can operate independently, lead with authority, and partner closely with executive leadership to ensure a compliant, fair, and high-performing workplace.
This position has the authority to recommend and implement HR policies, corrective actions, and compliance measures in partnership with leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the primary authority and point of contact for all HR matters
- Lead employee relations, including conducting investigations, issuing corrective action, managing performance improvement plans, and supporting terminations in compliance with employment law
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.)
- Develop, update, implement, and enforce HR policies and the employee handbook
- Manage recruiting, onboarding, and orientation processes
- Partner with leadership to coach managers on documentation, performance management, and compliance expectations
- Oversee benefits administration, leave management, and HRIS systems
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant employee records
- Support payroll coordination, audits, and reporting as needed
- Identify and escalate risk areas and recommend corrective actions to leadership
HR LEADERSHIP & ACCOUNTABILITY
- Hold managers accountable for consistent application of company policies
- Ensure fair and compliant handling of employee issues
- Provide clear guidance to leadership on employment risk and best practices
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a 50–200 employee environment
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Proven experience managing employee relations and sensitive matters independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and decisive
- Comfortable operating independently as the company’s primary HR leader
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP or PHR / SPHR certification is a plus

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
