Job Summary
The Operations Manager is a self-motivated, positive, enthusiastic safe, goal-oriented individual with a "can-do" attitude. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the safety, productivity, service levels and overall operational efficiency of the FBO, including Line Technicians, CSR’s and Fuel Farm. These responsibilities will also include some oversight of the Customer Service Department with emphasis on the coordination and effective communication between that department and the Line Department. The Operations Manager will report directly to the General Manager.
General duties include (but are not limited to):
- Manages all FBO Line Service Personnel and customer service
- Supervises and supports practices and procedures that contribute to a safe, profitable, positive and enjoyable work environment.
- Manages resources and inventory to maintain safe and efficient operations, while facilitating a high level of customer service.
- Coordinates employee training to ensure that all employees are properly trained with appropriate documentation to evidence such training as recommended in NATA’s “Safety First” procedures.
- Coordinate facility maintenance.
- Responsible for facility maintenance, appearance, and janitorial.
- Initiate emergency and incident response procedures as required.
- Establish a culture that promotes safety through daily observations, shift briefings, routine audits, safety meetings, training and documented safety procedures.
- Formulate procedures for use in event of aircraft accidents, fires or other emergencies.
- Establish a culture that promotes customer loyalty by creating an environment of increased employee engagement
- Regularly interact with customers to promote the FBO and to measure the level of customer satisfaction. Use customer feedback to constantly develop and improve capabilities and processes.
- Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained.
Requirements:
- At least three (3) years of experience in FBO Operations, the airline industry or the equivalent in an aviation related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of ramp operations
- Financial Acumen
- Valid state driver’s license and at least 18 years of age.
- NATA Certification.
· Aptitude in supervising and developing staff.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Consistently demonstrate good organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Customer relations skills required.
- Ideal candidate will live in the greater Carson City area and is available weekends, nights, holidays and any other hours pertinent to the operations of the base.

- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise teams effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Proficient in strategic planning and project management principles.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on results-oriented outcomes.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
