Bluestone Coal Corporation is seeking a qualified Helicopter Pilot to support corporate flight operations based in Roanoke, VA. This is a Part 91 position operating a twin-engine helicopter in a professional, safety-focused environment.
This position is best suited for a pilot who is self-sufficient, takes ownership of the aircraft, and operates with a high level of professionalism and judgment.
Responsibilities
- Operate company helicopter for corporate transportation
- Conduct safe and efficient flight operations under Part 91
- Perform flight planning, risk assessment, and weather evaluation
- Coordinate with maintenance to ensure aircraft readiness
- Maintain accurate flight and operational records
Minimum Requirements
- 3,000+ total helicopter flight hours
- 500+ hours multi-engine helicopter time (Bell experience preferred)
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate – Rotorcraft Helicopter
- FAA Instrument Rating – Helicopter
- Must be insurable at standard market rates
- Strong safety record and sound decision-making skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Bell 427, Bell 429, or similar aircraft
- IFR experience
- Prior Part 91 corporate operations experience
- Recent multi-engine helicopter experience strongly preferred
- ATP Certificate – Rotorcraft Helicopter preferred
