VP Aviation is hiring Aircraft Structures Mechanics and Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanics to support aircraft production programs in the Dallas, Texas area. No tools are required.
Pay: $2,000 per week at 40 hours not including overtime.

Heavy overtime is available and mechanics should expect to work 60–70 hours per week.
This role supports aircraft manufacturing work inside a structured production environment where mechanics perform drilling, reaming, structural assembly, and fastener installation on new aircraft builds.
Structures mechanics with production experience at facilities such as Stuart, Florida; Charleston, South Carolina; Everett, Washington, Wichita, Kansas, and other OEM or Tier-1 aircraft manufacturing locations are typically a strong fit for this project.
The Project
Initial 6–8 week assignment with the goal of extending into a long-term opportunity if production needs continue.
Responsibilities
Aircraft Structures Mechanics will support structural assembly and installation on commercial or defense aircraft programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform aircraft structural assembly on production aircraft builds
- Execute precision drilling, reaming, and fastener installation per engineering specifications
- Install structural components including ribs, spars, stringers, brackets, and subassemblies
- Use drill motors, countersinks, fixtures, and specialized aircraft assembly tools
- Perform close-tolerance hole preparation and fastener installation
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Perform shimming and structural alignment as required by assembly specifications
- Maintain strict adherence to production quality standards and documentation requirements
- Work collaboratively with quality inspectors, manufacturing engineers, and production leadership
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years aircraft structures experience
- 10+ years preferred
- Experience supporting OEM aircraft manufacturing or Tier-1 aerostructure suppliers
- Strong experience with drilling, reaming, countersinking, and structural fastener installation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and production work instructions
Production experience supporting aircraft manufacturing programs in locations such as Stuart, FL; Charleston, SC; Everett, WA; Wichita, KS, or similar aircraft production facilities is highly valued.
