Ohlinger Industries is a leader in component repair for the commercial and military aviation industries. The company is well established and has been operating in the Phoenix area for over 60 years. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, performing account reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This candidate should have a working knowledge of accounting and financial statements in a manufacturing environment. This role works closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial data and understands the importance of confidentiality.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Prepare and analyze internal financial statements to ensure accuracy
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Maintain general ledger accounts
Prepare and post journal entries
Analyze production costs and identify variances
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Support accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash receipts functions
Review quarterly tax returns
Maintain Fixed Assets and assist with depreciation schedules
Manage general insurances
Liaison between the organization and outside accounting firm and insurance brokers
Assist with payroll and HR functions
Assist with annual audits and tax filingS
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures

Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of two years accounting experience (manufacturing preferred)
Understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory accounting
Excellent computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
Experience in ERP systems and record-keeping
Professional manner and possess strong written and communication skills
Able to work in a team environment with a willingness to cross train
A self-starter and organized with the ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Schedule:

· Day Shift

· 10-hour Shift (Monday – Thursday)

· Overtime may be required as needed
