Accounting Supervisor

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our accounting department and manage the financial affairs of the company. This role requires strong leadership, advanced accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage complex and confidential financial data with accuracy and integrity.
Under the direction of management, the Accounting Supervisor performs advanced and specialized accounting functions while providing guidance and direction to accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department
- Supervise, train, and provide leadership to accounting staff
- Ensure accuracy of financial records, reports, and accounting entries
- Prepare financial statements outlining income, expenses, and earnings
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Run and review trial balances
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of profits, earnings, and cash balances
- Oversee cost accounting processes and proper cost allocation
- Establish and maintain internal accounting controls and procedures
- Set up and maintain new customer and vendor accounts
- Review accounts payable and accounts receivable for accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports as requested by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (B.S. required)
- Minimum of five (5) years of related accounting experience
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
