Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Interior Designer to join our team. This role will lead the design process for commercial office environments, from concept through installation, while collaborating closely with clients, sales teams, and project managers. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of workplace design, furniture systems, and client-facing experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and space planning process for commercial office projects of varying sizes and complexity
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and functional requirements
- Develop innovative design concepts, presentations, and detailed specifications
- Create space plans, renderings, and installation drawings using design software (CET/Spec)
- Specify furniture, finishes, materials, and accessories aligned with project budgets and timelines
- Partner with sales and project management teams to ensure seamless execution
- Present design solutions to clients and stakeholders with confidence and professionalism
- Stay current on industry trends, products, and workplace strategies
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to team development
Qualifications
- Degree in Interior Design (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in commercial interior design (office furniture dealership experience preferred)
- Experience working in AutoCAD, CET Designer, Cap2020 or SPEC
- Strong knowledge of office furniture systems, space planning, and workplace design trends
- Exceptional presentation, communication, and client management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- NCIDQ certification or working toward certification is a plus

Pay: $24.00 - $31.25 per hour
