Job Overview
Veterans Alliance is hiring experienced Avionics Technicians to support aircraft modification and wiring operations in Guntersville, Alabama. This is a 12-month contract opportunity offering strong hourly pay and weekly per diem.
This role is ideal for technicians with heavy modification and wiring experience in aviation environments.
⚠️ AH-64 experience will NOT be considered for this role.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy wiring installations and modifications on aircraft systems
- Execute avionics upgrades, retrofits, and modification packages
- Troubleshoot electrical and avionics systems and resolve discrepancies
- Install, route, and terminate wiring harnesses and components
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Conduct system checks and ensure proper functionality after installation
- Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards
- Document all work performed accurately
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of avionics experience – REQUIRED
- Heavy modification (mods) and wiring experience – REQUIRED
- Strong ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
- Experience with aircraft electrical systems installation and troubleshooting
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- No license required
- ⚠️ AH-64 avionics experience will NOT be accepted
Compensation & Details
- Pay: $36.00/hr
- Up to $890/week total per diem (must qualify)
- Contract Length: 12 Month contract to direct hire
- Platform: Any (excluding AH-64 experience)
- Interview Process: Phone or Virtual (some onsite may be required)
- Tools: No personal tools required
