Veterans Alliance is hiring Aircraft Mechanics for a unique Fast Track A&P Program in Wichita, Kansas. This is a 4-month contract-to-hire opportunity designed to help qualified candidates obtain their A&P License with company-supported training.

Program Highlights

- Pay increase to $40–$48/hr after obtaining A&P (DOE)
- Relocation & Sign-On Bonuses Available:<$2,500 (under 5 years experience)
- $5,000 (5+ years experience)
- Opportunity to transfer to other locations after 1 year of employment
⚠️ Commitment Requirement: Must remain employed for 2 years or repay training/testing costs
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy maintenance, modifications, and line maintenance on fixed-wing aircraft
- Assist with inspections, repairs, and component replacements
- Troubleshoot mechanical discrepancies and perform corrective actions
- Read and interpret technical manuals and maintenance documentation
- Maintain compliance with FAA, safety, and quality standards
- Document maintenance actions accurately
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience – REQUIRED
- Fixed-wing experience – REQUIRED
- Must have signed FAA Form 8610-2 – REQUIRED
- DD-214 required (for eligibility)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation & Details
- Starting Pay: $30.00/hr
- $720/week ($37,440/year equivalent) must qualify
- Contract Type: 4-Month Contract-to-Hire
- Platform: Fixed Wing
- Environment: Heavy Maintenance / Modifications / Line
- Interview Process: Phone or Virtual
- Response Time: 24–72 hours
- Benefits: Available after completion of 6-week training
