Job Overview
Veterans Alliance is hiring experienced Structures Mechanics to support aircraft structural repair and modification operations in Meridianville, Alabama. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity offering competitive pay and weekly per diem.
This role is ideal for mechanics with rotary-wing experience, especially those familiar with AH-64 platforms, and a strong background in heavy modifications and structural repair.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural repairs and modifications on rotary-wing aircraft
- Execute heavy modification (mods) and structural upgrades
- Remove and replace damaged or worn structural components
- Fabricate and install sheet metal parts and assemblies
- Drill, rivet, and assemble aircraft structures to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and structural repair manuals
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
- Document maintenance and repair actions accurately
- Support travel-based work assignments as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of structures/sheet metal experience – REQUIRED
- Experience in heavy maintenance or modifications – REQUIRED
- Rotary-wing experience – REQUIRED
- AH-64 experience – PREFERRED
- Strong skills in drilling, riveting, and structural assembly
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Compensation & Details
- Pay: $36.00 – $42.00/hr (based on experience)
- Up to $1,040/week per diem (must qualify)
- Contract Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
- Platform: Rotary Wing (AH-64 Preferred)
- Location: Meridianville, AL (travel required)
