Job Overview
Veterans Alliance is hiring experienced Structures Mechanics to support OEM assembly and aircraft production operations in Stuart, Florida. Opportunities are available as 6-month contract-to-hire or direct hire, offering competitive pay, per diem (for contract roles), and sign-on/relocation bonuses for qualified candidates.
This role is ideal for mechanics with recent OEM or assembly experience. Candidates coming strictly from heavy MRO environments may not be the best fit unless they also have strong assembly experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural assembly and installation on aircraft components
- Drill, rivet, and assemble aircraft structures to engineering specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions
- Perform fitting, fastening, and alignment of structural components
- Conduct basic inspections to ensure quality and tolerance requirements
- Support production and assembly line operations
- Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards
- Keep work areas clean and organized
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of structures/assembly experience – REQUIRED
- OEM or aircraft assembly experience – STRONGLY PREFERRED
- Candidates with MRO experience must also have assembly experience
- Strong skills in drilling, riveting, and structural assembly
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Must pass Day 1 plate test – REQUIRED
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Compensation & Details
Contract-to-Hire Option
- Pay: $33.00 – $40.00/hr
- Per Diem:
- Up to $1,040/week per diem (must qualify)
- Contract Length: 6 Months to Hire
Direct Hire Option
