As a Recruiter at Strom Aviation, you will contribute to the talent acquisition process by identifying, screening, and placing Aviation Professionals in contract positions with our clients. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on recruiting. While you will collaborate closely with senior team members, you will be responsible for ensuring a successful contractor placement lifecycle, from recruiting through the end of the assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition and Strategy Development:
- Through networking and personal contacts, develop a network of technicians and industry contacts for you to use as a source of candidates for placement.
- Through consultation with senior team members and use of Company-provided tools, as well as trial and error, develop recruiting strategies to find qualified candidates for placement.
- Identify, screen and conduct in-depth interviews of candidates to assess skills, qualifications, personality and fit with client’s job description and culture.
Contractor Placement:
- Work with senior team members to understand client staffing needs (including client culture and requirements, as well as desired candidate personality, qualifications and skills) and eliminate candidates that you determine are not a fit for the client.
- Play a leading role in recommending the best candidates to Account Managers or clients; consult with senior team members if necessary to ensure alignment with organizational goals, while evaluating and determining eligibility based on client needs.
- Use your own and Company-provided research on contractor market and current trends in compensation to negotiate pay and terms with candidates within client and Company guidelines, facilitating mutual understanding and agreement with candidate.
Employee Management and Support:
- Provide ongoing human resources services with respect to Company contractors placed at a client site, including providing performance reviews, counseling, and discipline as necessary.
- Address performance issues proactively, implementing corrective actions based on client feedback, including reassignment or termination, if necessary.
- Act as the point of contact for Company contractors placed at a client site regarding issues with their satisfaction in the placement (including grievances, counseling, pay adjustments, and other terms and conditions of their placement), as well as providing career guidance and mentorship, if applicable.
Collaboration and Development:
- Partner with team members to develop recruitment strategies that meet evolving client needs.
- Gather and provide detailed feedback to help refine future recommendations and placements.
- Cultivate and nurture all client contacts in your recruiting network to make Company top of mind when contractor needs arise.
Qualifications:
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions within your areas of responsibility and then act, all with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of marketing tools and strategies to include social media.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn

- Internet savvy and proficient in using Microsoft Office Products.
- Ability and willingness to work in an office setting.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
- Knowledge of aviation industry and applicable compliance requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
