We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Freight Forwarder specialized in the Aerospace industry to join our logistics team. In this role, you will coordinate the movement of aerospace-related cargo, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer specifications. Your expertise will drive efficient transportation planning, manage complex logistics operations, and foster strong relationships with clients and carriers. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute freight shipments for aerospace clients, ensuring adherence to strict FAA regulations and industry standards.
- Manage transportation arrangements using advanced Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) platforms for seamless data exchange.
- Develop and negotiate contracts with carriers, 3PL providers, NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers), and other logistics partners to optimize costs and service levels.
- Oversee freight dispatching, carrier sales, and logistics sales activities to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate data entry within CRM software and AS400 systems, tracking shipment status, pricing details, and lead generation efforts.
- Collaborate closely with inside sales teams to identify new business opportunities through B2B sales strategies and account management initiatives.
- Handle freight pricing negotiations, transportation planning, and dispatching while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations for aerospace components.
- Support customer relationship management by providing transparent communication, resolving issues promptly, and building long-term client partnerships.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales within the aerospace sector.
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes including B2B sales, carrier sales, contracts, and transportation planning.
- Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), EDI platforms, CRM software, AS400 systems, and data entry procedures.
- Excellent negotiation skills paired with a proactive approach to lead generation and inside sales activities.
- Understanding of FDA regulations pertinent to aerospace cargo handling and shipping compliance standards.
- Ability to coordinate multiple shipments efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $51,049.55 - $53,000.00 per year
