AeroStar ATP CTP Ground School Instructor
$46.67 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct classroom instruction in a thorough, professional manner and in accordance with Aero Star's standards.
- Complete the appropriate crew training records accurately and comprehensively to ensure pilot understanding and a seamless handover to other instructors
- Recommend, where necessary, remedial training for a pilot who is not meeting the required training progress
- Maintains proficiency as an instructor as required by regulations and company policies
- Track the validity of instructional qualifications to ensure that he/she remains qualified to deliver training at all times, in accordance with contractual commitments
- Promote crew resource management (CRM) principles and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles
- Monitor and assist with administrative programs in all areas of ground or flight training as required or assigned
- Act as subject matter expert in creation of curricula and courseware when required
- Accept training for examiner responsibilities when required by the Training Manager
- Other duties as assigned by the Training Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be authorized to live/work in the United States
- Possess an FAA ATP ME certificate
- Two years FAA 121 or 135(with op-spec of 10+ Pax) flying experience required
- Ability to work flexible hours which can include early mornings and late evenings
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong focus on quality with a continuous drive towards process improvement & customer satisfaction
- Ability to maintain strong customer orientation under adverse circumstances
- Ability to concentrate and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to readily accept changes and adjust accordingly
- Ability to teach a remote-based class
- Working knowledge of FAR Part 61, 91 and 121
- PC Computer skills - Google Suite of Business Tools
- Knowledge of Crew Resource Management (CRM) concepts required
- Experience utilizing Word, PowerPoint, or other graphic software to create and instruct training curricula required
- Able to lead classroom discussions and present both technical and non-technical information with high energy, passionate enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence is required
- The location for this position is based in Kissimmee, FL.
