We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk / Specialist to join our finance team, contributing to efficient and accurate financial operations.

Responsibilities

Process and reconcile Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Run and analyze financial reports using advanced Excel (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Power Query)
Support inventory reconciliations, cost-of-goods sold (COGS), and general ledger activity
Assist with customer credit analysis, including evaluating credit applications and account histories
Monitor customer balances and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the sales team
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audits, and proper documentation
Work cross-functionally with operations, purchasing, and sales teams to support financial accuracy
Assist with sales tax nexus tracking and compliance across U.S. states

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of hands-on accounting experience (aviation or transportation industry a plus)
Advanced Excel skills required (macros a plus)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, or Sage is a plus
Working knowledge of sales tax nexus requirements preferred
Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
