NX Design Engineer (1626093) — Summary:
This role focuses on NX-based design work for military aircraft cabin interiors and furnishings, including layout, components, and detail design tied to aircraft interior systems. The team is looking for a senior-level aerospace designer who can contribute immediately on complex interior design efforts and work closely with engineering stakeholders in an onsite environment. The technical focus is NX design within aircraft interiors, furnishings, and related aerospace design documentation.
Requirements
- 15+ years of aerospace design experience, with strong background in aircraft interior design.
- Proven NX design experience, ideally tied to cabin interiors, furnishings, or related aircraft interior components.
- Experience supporting complex aerospace programs where accuracy, documentation, and design coordination are critical.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify NX designs for interior portions of military aircraft, with emphasis on cabin interiors and furnishings.
- Translate design requirements into detailed models, layouts, and supporting design documentation for aerospace applications.
- Collaborate onsite with engineering and project stakeholders to support active aircraft interior project work.
Important Notes
- This is a fully onsite role in Waco, TX on a standard Monday-Friday first-shift schedule.
- This is a contract role expected to run 6+ months, with a target pay range around $58-62/hr depending on fit.
- A full drug screen and background check will be required before start.
