Lavish Interiors is seeking a talented onsite Interior Designer with a strong focus on yacht interiors, luxury residential design, and highly customized spaces. This role is ideal for a designer who understands the level of detail, precision, and sophistication required when designing interiors for private yachts, waterfront homes, and elevated lifestyle environments.
The ideal candidate has experience developing refined interior concepts, selecting high-end finishes, collaborating with vendors and fabricators, and translating a client’s vision into beautifully executed design. A background in 3D modeling, rendering, or visual presentation is strongly preferred. Experience designing private jets or aviation interiors is a major plus.
This is an onsite position, requiring regular in-person collaboration with the Lavish Interiors team, clients, vendors, showrooms, contractors, and project partners.
Responsibilities
- Work onsite with the Lavish Interiors team on luxury residential, yacht, and custom interior design projects
- Develop interior design concepts for yacht interiors, private residences, and bespoke design environments
- Create mood boards, finish palettes, furniture selections, material schemes, and design presentations
- Support space planning, furniture layouts, millwork concepts, and custom detailing
- Prepare design drawings, specifications, schedules, and presentation materials
- Collaborate in person with vendors, artisans, contractors, builders, fabricators, and project teams
- Source luxury furnishings, textiles, wall coverings, lighting, surfaces, hardware, and accessories
- Attend showroom visits, site visits, client meetings, project walk-throughs, and installations as needed
- Assist with yacht-specific interior considerations, including scale, movement, durability, storage, and finish performance
- Create or support 3D models, renderings, visualizations, and design presentations
- Maintain strong attention to detail throughout the design and execution process
- Help ensure each project reflects Lavish Interiors’ elevated, polished, and highly personalized design approach
Qualifications
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field preferred
- Experience in luxury interior design, with a strong preference for yacht interior design experience
- Must be available to work onsite and attend in-person meetings, site visits, showroom visits, and installations
- Knowledge of high-end furniture, materials, finishes, millwork, textiles, lighting, and custom fabrication
- Strong sense of proportion, materiality, color, detailing, and luxury design
- Experience creating design presentations, finish palettes, furniture plans, and specification packages
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, Enscape, Lumion, 3ds Max, or similar platforms
- 3D modeling and rendering experience strongly preferred
- Experience with private jet or aviation interiors is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, detail-driven design environment
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working collaboratively with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal team members
