Job Summary
AeroParts & Supply Southwest (APS) is a part 145 aviation repair station. Our primary focus is wheels/tires and brakes. We are seeking a professional Aircraft Maintenance Technician - Wheel Painter to join our team. APS is dedicated to providing a safe and stable work environment for all of our team members. Job Duties
- Perform wheel priming and painting
- Perform wheel paint stripping
- Perform wheel repair, including tire change and overhaul.
- Reads and interprets maintenance manuals or other technical data to determine the feasibility and method to perform the assigned tasks.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities.
- Proper handling and application of chemicals and chemical agents used in the stripping and painting processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and handling of components.
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure compliance with FAA specifications when applicable.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or advance instruction relative to technical field is desirable
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to locate, read and follow the technical data appropriate for the assigned task
- Experience with EBIS software is a plus.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment and hand tools appropriate to the assigned tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Must comply with all safety and housekeeping policies.
- Must be able to comply with DOT Drug & Alcohol testing requirements.
- Must be willing to work extended hours based on Repair Station production.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A&P certificate is preferred but not required.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
