Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our aerospace maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in aircraft and avionics systems, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, fabrication, and repair. This role involves performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various aircraft components to ensure safety, compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), and operational readiness. Candidates should have a solid understanding of industry standards such as AS9100 and be proficient in using CAD tools like CATIA and AutoCAD. Experience with military aircraft, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and precision measuring instruments is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex aircraft systems within a dynamic aerospace environment. Airframe and Powerplant license required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and scheduled maintenance on aircraft airframes, engines, avionics, and related systems in accordance with FAR regulations and company standards.
- Diagnose issues through root cause analysis using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools such as multimeters (ohmmeters, ammeters).
- Perform repairs and modifications utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering equipment, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Fabricate or replace sheet metal parts using fabrication techniques including welding and soldering.
- Use coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify component dimensions and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Interpret technical schematics, CAD drawings (AutoCAD, CAD), and manufacturing instructions to facilitate accurate assembly and repair tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities within CMMS systems for traceability and compliance purposes.
- Assist in the assembly of aircraft components and equipment repair tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Ensure all work is performed following industry standards such as AS9100 quality management system requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues involving electrical systems, avionics, power distribution, and mechanical assemblies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience in aviation or aerospace industries; military aircraft experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to aircraft systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and CAD drawings (AutoCAD or CATIA).
- Experience with FAA regulations including FAR Part 145 or similar standards governing aircraft maintenance.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (welding certifications preferred), soldering tools, calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, ammeters, and other precision instruments.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as required by the job duties.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety compliance and quality assurance.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to aircraft maintenance or avionics are preferred but not mandatory. This role is integral to maintaining the safety and operational integrity of our fleet of aircraft while providing opportunities for professional growth within the aerospace industry.

Pay: $25.00 - $37.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
