Job Overview

Veterans Alliance is hiring CNC Machinists for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity in Huntsville, Alabama. This role supports machining operations in a production environment and is ideal for candidates with experience operating CNC equipment.

We currently have 10 openings for 2nd shift, making this a strong opportunity for qualified machinists looking for steady work and long-term potential.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain CNC machining equipment
Set up and run lathes, milling machines, and grinders
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Perform precision machining to required tolerances
Inspect finished parts using measuring tools
Maintain safe and organized work areas
Follow all company safety and quality standards

Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of CNC machining experience – REQUIRED
Experience operating lathes, mills, and/or grinders
Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
Strong mechanical aptitude
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must pass background check and drug screening

Compensation & Details

Pay: $23–$32/hr (based on experience)
Per Diem: Up to $800/week (if eligible)
6-Month Contract-to-Hire
2nd Shift Only
10 Positions Available
On-site interview required
