Our company is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer to join our Military Aircraft Group in Mineral Wells, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and analyzing complete air vehicle avionic systems. You will work on multiple projects, providing engineering design development and technical interface to customers. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will have an onsite work schedule at our business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate product requests from customers to formulate design changes that meet their requirements
- Analyze project proposals for feasibility, manufacturability, cost, and production time
- Support customer development and design
- Perform system/software integration activities and develop testing applications
- Evaluate product design for conformance to engineering principles and quality standards
- Support software/system development for new and legacy product lines
- Assist with avionics systems ground and flight testing
- Support aircraft system safety assessment processes and certification projects
- Contribute to system and subsystem analysis and modelling
- Demonstrate knowledge of avionics certification processes for regulatory authorities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field (master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum five years of related avionics experience
